2020 has started on a bad note for Zim music producer who is reeling in shock after a recent break-in into his studio.

Renowned music producer MacDonald Chidavaenzi is the latest victim to fall prey to equipment theft in his studio. The award-winning Producer suffered a major blow when intruders broke into his studio and got off with equipment valued at thousands of dollars.

According to YouthVillage the list of the stolen items includes valuable equipment like some microphones, headphone set, microphone pop filter, microphone cable and back to jack cables among other items.

The producer has since appealed to anyone who might have information that may lead to an arrest of the perpetrators or getting his equipment back to come forward.

Macdee, as he is affectionately known in the music fraternity, is the owner of Eternity studios that has produced music for artists such as Trevor D, Oliver Mtukudzi and Ex Q, Dians Samkange and Leonard Mapfumo.

Macdee who celebrated his birthday recently was showered with messages of sympathy by his fans for his plight. But he simply responded that a man must always make a plan. Crime has reached an unprecedented level in Zim and many have attributed this phenomenon to the economic crisis and the high levels of unemployment in the country.
