With large gatherings and travelling barred, some musicians are expressing how their finances are going to suffer as a result of the lockdown.

Many artists have been vocal about their ordeals, one of them is Mi Casa's J'Something. He explained on Instagram how the band "had lost everything”.

A day before their album release, he took some time to reflect on their journey as a group and appreciate bandmates Mo T and Dr. Duda. He also detailed how they have suffered because of COVID-19.

He explained how they had local and international tours lined-up that unfortunately had to be cancelled.

"If I can just let you know from our side we’ve lost absolutely everything! For this album we had a European tour planned for June and July and they all cancelled, Local album tours planned for April and May all cancelled, and all other shows cancelled/postponed ... we have nothing," he said despondently.

In the midst of their disappointment, he appreciated their fans' support letting them know that they appreciate them. The band is well aware that releasing an album at this time of the year is not ideal. He also pointed out that the money they have used for the album would hopefully return to them in the form of bookings and events.

They are however hopeful that their fans will support them and their music will touch fans through this tough time the country is facing.
