There is nothing as exciting as pulling up at an event hosted by our favourite Zalebs. But did you know how much it really costs to book them for an event? Time and time again, various celebs have set tongues wagging with their charging fees, but this list will give you a run for your money- Literally!

We have put together a list of the Zalebs with the most expensive charging fees, and why we still love them anyway.

Black Coffee

Of course, at the top of the list is Black Coffee who is one of the most renowned deejays all over the world. Being a household name it is no wonder that he charges a whopping $100k for him to play at a gig. That is a whole R1.6 Million and he is very unapologetic about it.

Back when Somizi and Mohale were taking their vows, Somizi had revealed that they had wanted so badly for Black Coffee to play at their wedding but they just couldn’t afford the $100k. So think about it, if Somizi himself could not afford it, can you?

Cassper Nyovest

Next up is the Siyathandana hitmaker who is always setting the internet ablaze with his lavish and opulent lifestyle. To book Cassper for an event, all you’ve got to do is pay up a sum of R207k and get to enjoy his awesome music.

There is no denying that Cassper is always all about living it big and to quote such a fee for a gig and still be able to attract massive crowds, you have to agree that he has made quite the name for himself in the industry and we love to see it.

Supa Mega, as he is affectionately referred to, is one of Mzansi’s top performers and rappers. He is always attracting one heck of a crowd at his events because of his great and authentic music that we all just love to see.

It is therefore no shock however that he charges at least R200k for a gig, and that is just for local gigs. Booking him for an international gig is a whole other story.

A while back, Mzansi was shocked when AKA revealed that for a gig in Nigeria, all they had to do was pay him a stupendous amount of 6 million naira, which equates to R24K! Oof!

Nasty C

The Hello Naw hitmaker is one of Mzansi’s favourite Zalebs and for good reason. Having started at an early age, Nasty C has made quite the name for himself in the industry and we can all agree that there is no missing a Nasty C concert.
To book for him for any gig would cost you R100K but hey, if you are a close friend of his, then he’ll pretty much show up for your gig for free. Well then, think we know where that leaves us.

Sho Madjozi

The ever yellow and bubbly John Cena hitmaker also makes it on the list as one of the most expensive Zalebs to book for a gig. Charging up to R100k our Tsonga princess continues to make big strides in as far as her music career is concerned.

Samthing Soweto

This iconic singer has always won hearts with his beautiful voice and vocals. The Akanamali hitmaker also charges a whopping R100k as his charging fees. And that my friend, is only for a 30 minute performance.

And while this may come as a surprise to many, it’s a price that many are willing to pay, if not his voice, then for his cool and subtle personality.

Bet you didn’t think this rapper would make the list, especially with how claims of him being broke have been making rounds all over the internet. Well, whether you believe it or not, turns out Kwesta charges R85K for a gig.
It may not be at the hundreds like the rest of the Zalebs on this list but it is way higher than the likes of Kamo Mphela and Tino Chinyani.

Riky Rick

Lastly, yet another zalebs who is not as cheap as you thought is multi-award-winning rapper Rikhado 'Riky Rick' Makhado who charges R80k for a gig. Other than making waves for his celebrated career, he continues to make headlines for his opinions on everyday topical issues.

And despite his various beefs with fellow industry mates like Cass, it is good to see  that he remains unshakeable and at the top of his game.

Like we said, they will cost you more than an arm and a leg. So next time you want to book them for an event, be sure to refer back to this list.
