Shane Eagle Goes Gold

It's no lie that hard work and dedication does eventually pay off. This is particularly true for rapper Shane Eagle, whose 7-track EP Never Grow Up  and single Let It Flow have just gone gold.

The South African Hip Hop sensation took to Instagram to share the amazing news.

β€œGold Records because all these kids stay rapping it” special thanks goes out to @clearlyitslike @shooterkhumz for helping me with these records, these are my first official gold plaques, word is they soon plat another special thank you to my real fans who really buy and stream the art we put hours into creating; thank you to the label @eagle_ent for the surprise," the Rapper wrote.

The talented lyricist is signed to an independent record label, Eagle Entertainment, which he's also the co-founder of. The awarded single, Let It Flow, is from his 2017 album titled Yellow.

Back in 2017 in an interview with OkayAfrica, Shane Eagle spoke about the inspiration behind his album title Yellow.  β€œIt's the color that I think in. The reason I call the album that is because those are the thoughts that I'm sharing," he said.

The rapper, whose music is sentimental and personal, has often been compared to the US Rapper J.Cole.

While that might be regarded a great compliment to many (including Shane himself), the rapper told OkayAfrica that instead of being seen as the J.Cole of South Africa, he would rather be known as the Shane Eagle of the world.

Well, big ups to you sir! Keep going all the Way Up, you hear?!
