The beloved father and son duo might have taken the internet by storm with their cute videos, however they got it wrong this time.

Their 'dismal' attempt to spread awareness about the coronavirus outbreak and educate people on how to stay safe, was not well received.

Lindokuhle “Lin Dough” Sithole took to Twitter to apologise for the video and reiterated that he and his son Valdo did not mean to cause any harm or offend anyone.

In the video, the two of them can be seen sharing some knowledge on how to stay safe during this outbreak. Seems cute and educational...until it hits that the usage of the Chinese language and Asian accent incorrectly, can be deemed as racist.

Infact many of the internet users said the video was racist and that Lin Dough did not set a good example to his young son Valdo. This saw many users cancelling Valdo.

The viral video was shared by minister Nathi Mthethwa's spokesperson, Masechaba Ndlovu, on Twitter, who later deleted the video after receiving some backlash from social media.

Bonnie Mbuli commented and said it was 'tone deaf'. She also went on to defend Valdo saying 'he  doesn’t know better.'

"I’m also concerned that little Valdo is involved in things that adults could have avoided, he doesn’t know better."

The musician issued out an apology and told people to not direct their anger and rage towards Masechaba Ndlovu.
