The drama between Sonia Mbele's Son, Donell Mbele and his now ex girlfriend Reokeditswe Makete, has escalated and reached the courts. A few days ago Reokeditswe took to Instagram and exposed her boyfriend Donell for allegedly being abusive and for almost raping her.
Their drama gained the attention from the public who have already deemed Donell an abuser. His mother even addressed this and said she refuses to raise a son who is just like his father.
According to Zimoja Donell appeared in court as he is charged with physical assault and his case has reportedly been moved to February 2023.
Certain images of Donell's Bruised Face has been made rounds on social media and allegations are that Reokeditswe is responsible for them. Their relationship was apparently very toxic and they had numerous fights.
A certain friend of Reokeditswe's claimed that she is very short tempered and suffers from depression. The friend alleged that she spat on his face once when he hugged another girl.
“We all used to hang at Monte Casino. She does not like it when other girls talk to Donell. She once spat on his face for hugging another hun. He sent a text to say she is starting again. I tried to call but that is when she was swearing at me accusing us of dating, they had no clue I was still listening because Donell did not hang up. I remember him begging her not to touch his face until she bit him on the lip,” the friend told the publication. “We begged them so many times to leave each other alone, especially after she once called her family and friends claiming that she had been kidnapped, meanwhile she took an Uber to go see him. Donell thought it was just drama. She is a nice girl, but we all know and she knows the truth.”
Meanwhile Reokeditswe's family is said to have booked her into a mental institution to deal with her alleged depression.
Sonia said in the statement that Reokeditswe has her full support.

"I woke up this morning to a different world, a world I thought I had long buried. From the age of 17 to 26 I was with a man who was abusive, physically, psychologically and emotionally," she started off her statement. "I do not stand for, support or condone such [a] stance. These are struggles I've spoken about extensively in my early career to encourage other women in similar situations."
"I not only welcomed Reokeditswe Makete into my home but I treated her as a daughter and I worked with her in support of her career in the entertainment industry, and right now I would like to reassure her that she still has my love and full support.
"As a mother I wish she had come to me to inform me on what was going on because finding out on social media broke my heart. I've always been there, I've always been supportive," she added.
"I now realise I should have taken preventative measures much earlier such as counseling and/or child therapy, but sometimes the mistake we tend to make as African single mothers is to assume and hope things will work out for the best meanwhile certain past behaviors can affect generations to come. "
"With that said Donell will face his demons and take accountability for his actions and let the law take its course. I refuse to raise a man like his father. Rehab, therapy and internal healing will prevail," she concluded and also thanked South Africans.
