When the new season of the show premiered Mzansi was introduced to Slee as Nonku's friend. They were in awe of their friendship, but it took a couple of episodes to cause a rift between them.
In the 8th episode of RHOD, Slee invited Nonku to iron things out and gain clarity on where they were standing in their friendship. This was after everything that transpired after Nonku introduced her to the group.
Besides their friendship, Slee and Nonku's children are close, so they have to be cordial with each other for the sake of their children's friendship. In spite of their disagreements, Nonku still cares about Slee, she said.
“Obviously, we’ve been avoiding each other and I know it intentionally. I just had to and all of that because I don’t know where I stand with you. I don’t want to lose you as a friend. I still consider you — I mean I still care very much about you. I just wanna know what the problem is," said Nonku.
See explained that the reason she has distanced herself from Nonku is due to a lack of trust in her.
"The way things transpired and unfolded everything that you brought about me has only been from a negative point of view”
"However, the reason why I sort of backed away is my lack of trust because I was afraid that if I have you in my personal space whatever I do the following day I’ll hear it or you will share it within the group space," she said
Nonku added, "I’m very sad that I won’t lie that you and I have drifted apart because I thought we would have each other's back."
Slee said it would take a mile to build trust between them.
"Whatever you need if I can help and it’s within my reach I will always be there for you," said Nonku
Nonku apologized for using the f-word during their disagreement while they were sitting with their fellow housewives. Slee expressed gratitude to Nonku for making time for her and explained what true friendship means to her.
"If I have you as a friend to me you are a sister to me," she said.
