Vee Mampeezy And Many African Artists At GIMC2019

The 6th annual Gaborone International Music week (GIMC) will host the finest in African music, just what the continent needs in light of the growing violence that has divided our people.

The festival filled with Jazz, Champagne Picnic, Theatre, Poetry, Choral, Comedy and Music started on the 31st of August and will end on the 7th of September. It is a celebration of not only the Batswana culture but unites Africa at large.

The last day of the festival is where the music festival will be taking place, with acts from all over Africa uniting and gracing the  Botswana National Stadium in Gaborone this Saturday, The 7th of September.

Headliners for the event are Black Motion, A.T.I, A Reece, DJ Fresh and Shekinah. Alongside Vee Mampeezy, Scar, Bouncy, Charma Gal and Ancestral Rituals. Tickets range from P150 to P2500.

Event organizer and founder Fish Pabalinga has promised tight and secure security. Each day of the week is dedicated to a specific aspect of the entertainment culture. On Thursday the 5th is choral day and different choirs will be gathering to showcase their talent and entertain event goers.

This seems to be the perfect event to show Africa our common struggles and goals despite the violence that has erupted.
