Today marks media personality, Bonang Matheba's 32nd birthday. Ever since we were introduced to our girl B on SABC1's Live we have watched her remarkable rise and rise with awe. In her 15 years in the entertainment industry she has done what others can only dream of.

Who can forget her famous reply when eNCA asked her who her competition in the industry is? “Where, on earth? No. In the world or in the universe, no, not that I’m aware of,” she said. 

Although she has achieved a lot she continuously redefines success and is constantly looking to up her game. She is one of the most hard working entertainers in the world and her 31st year was one filled with plenty of Ws. We have rounded up some of her biggest wins in the past year.

Bonang became the first South African woman ever to grace the cover of GQ stand-alone. She really is the queen of firsts.

Her first ever documentary film premiered in England!

Her announcement went a lot like this: Miss Film Producer to you, darling!! We did it!! 🚀🚀🚀🚀 Our first Film just premiered at the Manchester Film Festival.... aaaaannnd, they LOVED IT!!! 🍾😍👍🏽

She launched her bubbly range.

Anyone who knows Bonang knows all about her love for bubbly as such it was only fitting for her to get in on the business of booze. Bonang launched her own brand of Méthode Cap Classique Brut Rose and became the first black woman to become a member of the Cap Classique Producers Association.

She spoke at the Forbes 30 under 30 event.

Who else to do it but the best who has ever done it?! Bonang IS success personified.

She won a boat load of awards.

In addition to scooping up a lot of accolades like she always does, she received the first-ever ‘5 For Changemaker Award’ in recognition of her philanthropy work.
