Our favorite star Sho Madjozi has gotten herself tested for COVID 19. She shared a video on her Instagram where she is sitting at a testing booth. One of the officials took a swab test from her throat and from her nose. She went through the experience like a trooper!

Making us proud – as usual!

At a time when there are so many rumors and conspiracy theories surrounding COVID, the vaccine, and other related topics, it’s good to see someone behaving like a role model. Whether or not she had symptoms, Sho was responsible enough to get herself tested. Even though the experience looked a little unpleasant!

She captioned the video with, “La ni humaku kona ka tika.”

While the test isn’t painful, it can make you gag. Some commenters applauded her keeping herself together. Others mentioned that the test was being done the wrong way. Commenters pointed out that typically, the nose swab is supposed to go in deeper and stay longer to pick up traces of the virus.

Sho’s been named a top Black artist on Youtube

In other news, Sho has been shortlisted as a top Black artist on the video platform Youtube. The video sharing platform announced the first round of their Youtube Black Voices Class of 2021 winners. According to the digital giants, this initiative focuses emphasizing the intellectual power, dignity, authenticity, and joy of Black voices.

Youtube selected 132 creators from the U.S, U.S, Kenya, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, and Nigeria. They’ve included beauty gurus, musicians, activists, personal trainers, comedians, poets, photographers, and teachers. They chose from applicants who had taken part in Youtube black events in the past.

Sho joins a list that includes Sauti Sol, Akah Nani, Dimmah Umeh, Fireboy DML, and others.

We’re excited for her and can’t wait to see what amazing projects are in store for us. Sho is always making us proud with her accomplishments. Whether it’s Sho being nominated for a Nickelodean Kid’s Choice Award or a BET.

We’re sure her future work is going to be creative and entertaining. We’re expecting a lot of good, catchy music and cool videos.

We’re excited about this project as it’s on an international scale. It’s providing a platform for black voices to make an impact on Youtube and beyond. An initiative like this also creates diversity in the kind of content Black creators are putting out there and can help break stereotypes. This could be a door to many interesting opportunities for Sho and we’re hoping to be there along for the ride.
