Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but there are certain things that we can all agree make a man an eligible bachelor. First, the easiest and most obvious thing on the list is that he needs to be a bachelor - a man who is not and has never been married. Once we have that out of the way, there are other criteria that the man should have that will make him desirable to the masses.

To be considered ‘desirable’, the man needs to have it all. He needs to have the esteem, the money, the personal success or family status, the charisma and lastly the good looks.

For this article, we have listed a few of our favorite hot, young and single men from across Kenya in different occupations from, business, sports and entertainment who fit the criteria. Most of them have never been married, while a few of them have either been entangled in some sort of relationship or have simply not been lucky when it comes to matters of the heart. This list is in no particular order because we think they are all equally yummy!

MacDonald Mariga

Kicking off the list is retired football legend MacDonald Mariga Wanyama. The 34yr old played for the national soccer team Harambee Stars before making history by becoming the first Kenyan footballer to play in the UEFA Champions league. Before hanging up his boots, Mariga played as a defensive midfielder for Italian football club Inter Milan.

The footballer is not only tall, in good shape and handsome, Mariga also has the brains. After retiring from football, he ventured into politics and campaigned for a parliamentary seat which he lost. Mariga was rumored to have been dating media personality Joey Muthengi but the relationship didn't seem to last and as far as we know he is currently neither married nor dating anyone.

Nviiri The Storyteller

Next on our list of hunks is Nviiri Sande better known by his moniker Nviiri The Storyteller. The singer and songwriter is currently signed as an artist to Sauti Sol under Sol Generation. We cannot talk about Nviiri without mentioning his ability to serenade a crowd with his voice and exceptional guitar skills, he is truly talented. To top it all off, the musician is a mechanical engineer. For someone who exudes passion and sings the sweetest love songs we can only imagine how he loves, someone slid into his DM.

Larry Madowo

Larry Madowo is one of Kenya’s greatest exports. Not only is the journalist tall, dark and handsome, but he is also a hard worker and go-getter with a sense of humor! The journalist worked his way up the ladder from reporting on local stories, to becoming a household name and working with BBC and CNN - some of the biggest news networks in the world. Although there have been dating rumors he has never confirmed them and as far as we know, he is single and ready to mingle.

Eric Omondi

Last on the list is Eric Omondi. The comedian has definitely carved a name for himself within the Kenyan entertainment industry. Eric is known for his outlanding outfits and controversial sense of humor, but hey, who doesn’t love a funny guy? Last we heard the comedian was looking for a wife and even had a whole TV show to help him find one! You know what that means ladies!
