Celebrity feuds have been going on since the beginning of time’ and everyone wants a piece of the action, with fans and haters taking to social media like never before to either, ‘back or attack’.

We now recap on the two Namibian celebrity rivalries that stole the limelight in 2019:

Dillish and Dj Seboa vs Meriam Kaxuxwena

Model, Meriam Kaxuxwena was pounced on by Namibia’s Big Brother winner Dillish Matthews and her friends DJ Seboa. This happened in one of Windhoek’s uptown nightclubs barely a month after the pair took to social media with threats of beating her up.

Eyewitnesses say the two threw a surprised Meriam off the couch, pulling her wig off and breaking her nails and her iPhone. Dillish and her friend had to be carried out of the club due to their behaviour, however, Dillish returned and sat next to Meriam and continued provoking her.

“MK got attacked and her kashort DJ friend at that Pharaoh’s the other night. Yoooooooh it was lit!!! Those two guzas came prepared jong. Dilish and her kagroupie friend even had to be carried out of the club in their first attempt. Minutes later they came back. Dilish came back, sat next to Mk, we couldn’t hear what they were saying. Out of nowhere her short friend pulled off MK’s wig… joh dramaaaa. Dilish threw Mk off the couch and broke her Xmax plus and her nails. Did the bouncers not come back… carried the two out the club as they screamed, ‘it’s not over little boy’. Hours later Dilish ran to the coast and now she’s out of the country. Namibia is full of drama my guy jong. These girls aaayee onda verstaana my bululu,” the post read.

Meriam confirmed the incident, saying “I already opened a case against them. I told them I don’t want to fight and they still came after me. I am not a violent person and I will never fight with anyone even when I told them I do not want to fight in public,” said Meriam

The issue that seems to have caused the rift between the women, is regarding Togolese soccer start, Emmanuel Adebayor. Dillish is dating the soccer star, but Meriam claims that they spent the night together while in London.

Earlier this year, MK wrote on her Instastory, “I hope Dillish wore the MK lingerie that she bought from me two years ago when she was with her soccer player in bed because that’s the same lingerie I wore when I slept in the same bed with Adebayor in London. I didn’t fvxk him that night. Remind her that I met him before she did.”

In another social media post, Meriam says, “DILLISH sent me this !!!!!!!!!!!!! She want to fight with me… I am going to put a Police warning on this woman !!!!!! Restraining Order on this big Brother Africa Winner !!!”

DJ Seboa replied with, “My guy we will beat you anyhow. Whether you have time or not. Let’s go dancing tonight, you in NYC right???”

Mk also resorted to mocking Dillish to “enjoy while she can, I still have his Whatsapp number!! Don’t get too excited for the things I could have same way you met him!! Same way I met him.” This clearly angered Dillish who threatened to beat up MK calling her a ‘little boy’. As we saw, she has clearly followed through on that threat.

Exit Rockaz vs Gazza and King Tee Dee

Exit Rockaz seems to have much time on his hands, despite all his bookings. The Kwaito star posted on his Instagram page that the game, referencing the music industry, was boring and that he wanted someone to provoke him. He also said that they must retire and give him a chance to thrive too.

The post was indirectly targeting Gazza and King Tee Dee who also took to their pages and said that they don’t have time to entertain people whom they have helped get where they are.

Exit Rockaz post read, “Say anything, I’m bored and I don’t give a F##$ My ink legit like that… Anybody! My crew only and I only f##[email protected] punk ass ninjas… but I’m always alone though’ most of the time… shangeni omapandja mkwe2 mu dengwe no fundamentala yelaka… amti aike what what… say anything… I reply!”

Exit made it clear that he was calling them out regarding things that needed settling after he did not receive the desired response. He said he called them out for the sake of the younger generation. He also released a diss track featuring Kaimbi targeting the two. Exit, being multi-genre on the reggae-infused beat said that his rap game is equal to that of 2 Pac and Biggy and that he is giving them 29 days to retire and Eminem is back in a black skin. He raps further that the nation wants him to speak about Gazza and ‘467’ stole your songs.

The song became the chat of social media gathering many different opinions from the public. Some agreed that Exit is more talented than King Tee Dee and Gazza, however highlighting the fact that he could have reached their level by now had he the same work ethic as they do. People also said that he has no one to blame but himself for being left behind in the industry.

Others believe that the beef being created by Exit was unnecessary, but they loved the diss track. Both Gazza and King Dee didn't respond regarding the diss track, however, King Tee Dee shared a post saying, “The reason why we have been on top for so many years is because we don’t see any competition. Give us a reason to retire and we will retire.”

In a turn of events, Exit recently came to acknowledge how King Tee Dee is the best artist in Namibia and how has inspired him throughout his career.

As seen with so many rivalries in the entertainment industry, they come and go, and with any luck, it goes from chaos to collaboration.
