Her Real Name Still Has Tiwa On It

Her real name is Tiwatope Savage but her fans know her by her stage name Tiwa Savage. She was born Isale Eko but relocated to the United Kingdom, London to continue with her secondary education.

It's like her parents already knew that their daughter would make them proud one day and decided to give her such a dope name.

Unfortunately, Tiwa lost her father last year who had been battling a long illness. We know he is up there shinning his light on his daughter.

She Was A Back-Up Singer For Mary J Blige

Did you know that Tiwa Savage started her musical career as a backup vocal artist for famous artists such as American rapper and actor Mary J Blige and Singer and songwriter George Michael? This happened five years after she completed her secondary school.

Wow, this lady was still talented back in the day and is also lucky to have worked with such big shots in the international music industry, at the beginning of her career. Now we know that Tiwa was destined for fame.

Tiwa is considered the First Lady of Mavin Records owned by music producer Don Jazzy.

She released her debut studio album Once Upon a Time in 2013 that was supported by seven singles. The hit song that gave her recognition globally was Kele Kele Love. The song received massive air time on TV and made serious waves on the radio.

Since then she has been releasing hits after hits. Her career has grown tremendously and we are here for it.

The star was married to Tunji Balogun who is the CEO of Def Jam Recordings from 2013 to 2018. Their marriage came crashing down after Tunji was accused of domestic violence by Tiwa.

Some time back it was rumored that the African bad girl Tiwa was dating Wiz Kid. We were all taken aback by this news because we never saw it coming.
