Wahu's Advice To Kenyans After Elections

Mama Tomiso alias Wahu is giving motherly advice to Kenyans after the final presidential results were read out last evening. Wahu on Tuesday, August 16, through her Instagram account, advised citizens to move on from the elections.

Let's maintain peace and get back to work ....our bills won't pay themselves ama vp..." she stated.

The singer noted that the elections period was done and it was time we moved on as a country. 

Wahu was also at the forefront of preaching peace immediately after the presidential results came out on Monday, August 15.

"As we celebrate or mourn the IEBC outcome, let us do so without provoking each other, be it online or offline. Let our own history remind us that there is no winner when we turn against each other," she said.

She mentioned that the country should not fall apart because of politics and that we were one at the end of the day.

"The price of unga
is the same for all of us. Rent , schoolfees and food are our realities no matter your political inclination & the sooner we get back to our normal businesses the better for all of us," Wahu posted.

She also divulged:
Whichever R wins. Let us peacefully accept the results ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ and move on ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿฟโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿฟโ€โ™€๏ธ. There is absolutely no one individual that is greater than Kenya & her people. There are absolutely no winners when we turn against each other. We are one people under God.

Wahu joins a long list of Kenyan celebrities who had different opinions about the results of the elections that were announced on Monday.

Former KTN News anchor Betty Kyallo lauded Ruto and asked God to guide him as he leads the country.

"Congratulations Mr President. May God guide you as you lead. Hope we can keep the peace and unity," she stated.

Classic 105 breakfast show host Maina Kageni saluted Ruto and asked him to govern with wisdom and God's guidance as the country begins a new journey.

"Congratulations, President-Elect @williamsamoeiruto! Govern with wisdom and God's guidance. We start a new journey today. Pave it with prosperity, and hope and take us to the next level. God bless you and God bless Kenya," he posted.

"Life is a race, not a stroll. Itโ€™s a series of sprints, stops and starts, highs and lows, and a million other scenarios. Kenya belongs to all of us, we forge forward, peace being the biggest winner.

The nation is bigger than anyone of us. Congratulations to the president-elect.

Comedian Njugush also congratulated Ruto and called for peace. He stated that he was happy that there was no run-off which would have lengthened the election period.
