Celebrated media personality and news anchor Larry Madowo is set to leave BBC to start a new job as a Nairobi-based correspondent at CNN. 

Senior Vice President of International Newsgathering and Managing Editor, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, for CNN International, Deborah Rayner, made the announcement today via a press release. 

Larry moved to Washington a few years back and recently worked as the BBC correspondent for North America.

With this new role, Larry will be forced to come back to Nairobi, Kenya.



The celebrated anchor started his career when he was just twenty years old at Kenya’s local media house, KTN, he later joined NTV, BBC, and now he is about to make an appearance at CNN! 

He is the true definition of you can achieve what you want in this life. Even after leaving KTN to join NTV, he strived even to go bigger and better! Who would imagine he would be exiting BBC? The anchor is multi-talented. He has experience in hosting an entertainment show, reporting on business matters and politics as well.
