Churchill show comedian Jasper Murume on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 shocked many after he finally released his rate card to the public.

Through his Instagram account, the comic made it known that from this point onwards he would be charging fixed amounts for jobs as a Master of Ceremonies, performances incorporate events and performances in clubs.

In his series of posts, Murume stated that, from the fact that he believes he is the best in what he does he will be charging 200,000 shillings to be a Master of Ceremonies in your event, 120, 000 shillings to perform at a corporate event.

His second post addressed his club performances where he stated that he would also be charging 200, 000 shillings to perform. He insisted that he will no longer be making appearances in clubs.
In one of the captions, he stated that he thought clubbing is a luxury and his rate card for club performances could soon go up again. He further advised those who could not afford to hire him to live to fight another day. In his own words, he stated that “Tomorrow is also another day”.

“Clubbing is a luxury. Hiyo bei itaongezeka soon. I have decided to ask for my worth going forward. Kama hufiki bei usijali. Kesho pia ni siku. Na wasanii ni wengi” he wrote.

In his other post he stated on the caption that he will not be tolerating companies that offer him 20, 000 shillings. He further threatened to release bees at the Human resource and finance offices.

“Bei ndiyo hiyo basi wakuu. Asanteni. Ukiniambia 20k tena nakuja kwa hiyo kampuni yenu na nyuki niachilie hapo HR na Finance.” read his caption.(Here is the price, If you tell me 20k again, I will come to your company and release bees in both your finance and Human resources offices.)

The comic rose to fame after appearing on the Churchill show and successfully making the crowd laugh with his clever gags. Due to his comfort in working a crowd and how well he is typically welcomed, some aspiring comedians would surely want to imitate him. Due to his well-known stage attire and bandana on his head, some people begin laughing even before he delivers his punchlines.
Many people are unaware of his rocky entry into comedy. The 6 foot 5 inch comedian, like many other budding comics, had to develop his persona and discover a relatable element before becoming well-known.

The comedian mentioned attending three primary schools in an earlier interview with Kobi Kihara on NTV. The first was a school in their community where using physical punishment was commonplace. He then attended a boarding school before finishing primary education at Imenti Boarding School.
