In a recent Forbes list of 2021, Diamond took position 17 with many Nigerian artists and Kenyan artist Akothee taking the top positions. The singer was not amused and took it to his Instagram and wrote:
“FORBES: Next time, Google me to know I am really worth of before putting me on your Stupid Richest African Musicians list!!!!!,” he posted on his Instagram page.
The Tanzanian singer was born in Amana Hospital in Dareesalam, Tanzania, on 2nd October, the year was 1989. Young Diamond grew up on the western part of Tandale and lived in his grandmother’s house with his mother. Due to unresolved conflicts, Diamond’s parents went separate ways.
Diamond Platnumz made headlines after he made his relationship with businesswoman Zari Hassan public. Zari is ten years older than Diamond. Diamond’s fans were at that time convinced that the singer preferred dating older women. The two have two children together, Princess Latifah and Prince Nilan.
His other baby mamas include Kenya’s Tanasha Donna and Hamissa Mobetto from Tanzania. Diamond has three siblings, Esma Platnumz, Romeo Abdul Jones and Queen Darleen.
