Bongo Flava singer Ben Pol has filed for divorce from his wife Anerlisa. According to reports by Tanzanian publication Millard Ayo Media, the singer has moved to court to end the marriage.

Ben Pol filed for divorce in Dar es Salaam where the couple has been living but the reason for the end of their union remains unknown. They have been married for only 11 months.

Rumours have been swirling that the couple was not on good terms and Anerlisa has been sharing cryptic messages on Instagram concerning her marriage to the Moyo Machine singer.

Just last week it was reported that Ben Pol could be replacing Anerlisa Muigai with an unidentified woman. Fans were speculating that the marriage is on the rocks after Anerlisa dissed a woman for attempting to compete with her.

The NERO company owner was spotted without her wedding band and even unfollowed her husband on Instagram hours after hinting about a breakup with the singer.

Last year when rumours swirled about cracks in her relationship with the Tanzanian heartthrob the NERO founder via Instagram stated that they are in a bond of love that is unbreakable.

“With my best friend Ben Pol. One thing though you can be sure about is that only death will separate us. Upuzi hamna tena," shared the Keroche heiress, saying for her and the singer, every day is a rediscovery of love. “Every night is a date night over here, life is short.”

She had gone mute on the internet but recently made a social media comeback with what seemed to be amazing news for her family and fans. Anerlisa posted a video of herself fondling her visibly grown tummy and convincing netizens she was expectant.

Netizens were not believing that the entrepreneur is pregnant after she shared numerous videos of her flat tummy celebrating her successful weight loss. Before her exit from social media, Anerlisa had dropped a few pregnancy hints that prompted many to believe she was expecting her first child with her husband.

In February, Anerlisa was forced to delete pictures she had posted for Valentines after netizens spotted her bump and started flooding her comments section with congratulatory messages. Considering the curvy personality had not posted pictures of herself in over a month, netizens were convinced she was pregnant.
