Ghanaian-born British based Scilla Owusu has been named in Forbes 30 Under 30 2020 for Africa.

The screenplay writer made the cut for the prestigious list out of 3000 nominations sent to Forbes Africa.

The Forbes 30 under 30
list looks at 120 young Africans in four categories – business, technology, creatives, and sport who are making change.

Born Priscilla Akosua Boatemaa Owusu, the female music director formed a workshop, Youngtrepreneurs, which is a social impact workshop to provide youth-led workshops in different creative sectors.

Her career began in 2015, as a screenwriter and film producer and later developed a knack for directing.

The young screenwriter has worked with some of Africa's finest artists such as Wande Coal, Fuse ODG, Burna Boy, Patoranking, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Mr. Eazi, and Davido.

Taking to Instagram, the London-based Owusu reflected on how far she has come just at the age of 23.

"From writing to producing, to directing and now successfully running my own creative youth organisation in Ghana. @theyoungtrepreneurs... I am honoured to represent my people and be recognised by @forbesafrica for their 30 Under 30," shared Owusu.
