Somizi Mhlongo has pulled a Pearl Thusi on local paper, Sunday World when they approached him for comment regarding news that a season 2 of his cooking show, Dinner At Somizi's, is halted.

Following the success of season 1 of the popular Mzansi Magic show, Dinner At Somizi's had a promising future and as season 2 became a huge possibility. This all came crashing down when Hastings Moeng came out publicly to declare that the show's plot was his idea. He accused Somgaga, Legend Manqele and Multichoice of stealing his show and has now taken legal action against them.

When the publication approached Somgaga for comment on the ongoing legal battle, he lost his cool and a truck load of swear words were hurled at them - Pearl Thusi style.

Even though M-Net's Channel director for local entertainment Nomsa Philiso said season two is not in the pipelines and has not been discussed, Somizi on the other hand had nothing but insults to throw at the publication. "Deadline yo m***u kan**ko, g**o lika yihlo, u fu**en abortion survivor,” he said. In translation, he insulted the journalist's parents and implied that he or she survived abortion.

Somizi Mhlongo has been reprimanded by musician Simphiwe Dana following this past weekend's social media posts where he was seen fighting the media. The media personality delivered two savage clapbacks at two journalists who work for two different media houses.

Adding her two cents on the matter, Simphiwe Dana said Somizi was not wrong for the first incident which involved the City Press journalist. “I don’t think Somizi is wrong. There are boundaries. Respect them. Us being public figures doesn’t create grounds for uba wena usiqhele (for y'all to treat us like this). Otherwise write your story ungasifaki”, she tweeted.

City Press journalist Julia Madibogo approached Somizi on rumors that they are divorcing with his partner Mohale Motaung and he was agitated and decided to let his fingers do the talking for him. A disgruntled Somizi delivered the most lethal clap backs to the journalist causing pandemonium on social media. Somizi used vulgar slurs when he responded to Khumalo, "Deadline yo m***u kan**ko, g**o lika yihlo, u fu**en abortion survivor.”  In translation, he insulted the journalist's parents and implied that he survived an abortion.

In a statement SANEF says Somgaga was irresponsible, "We believe this is irresponsible in the extreme and potentially unlawful conduct. Mhlongo has a massive support base and a following in excess of almost 4-million on the Instagram social platform and his followers have resorted to intimidation and harassment of journalists on all social media platforms. They have subjected both Madibogo and Khumalo to torrents of insults and threats," reads the statement.
