Entertainers Mourn Young Dollar

Popular dancer and socialite Kumbulani Mapani well known as Young Dollar in the entertainment circles has died at the age of 22.

He is said to have died at Harare Hospital after a short illness.

Meanwhile, fellow entertainers and socialites have been pouring their condolences.

Actor Sylvanos Mudzvova said, "Rest in peace brother kumakombi nekumagitare. Note haasiriye weNgwenya brothers uyu ndewedu kumakombi isusu mahwindi."

Jibilika founder and journalist Plot Mhako wrote, "Rest in Peace Young Dollar."

Judgement Yard's DJ Flevah posted, "Return if possible (RIP) Young Dollar. #legend."

Spencer Madziya said, "Rest easy young one."

The Quetical Ents visual arts page poised suspicion of poisoning as they said, "Young Dollar was reported to have died on Sunday mere hours after attending Enzo Ishall's birthday bash at the City Sports Centre, however, the reason for his death is yet to be divulged. Unconfirmed reports say that there are suspicions that Young Dollar aka Kumbu was poisoned."

The same later posted, "Sad news for the arts industry, Young Dollar is no more. RIP CDE you will forever be cherished."

Mourners are gathered at Hopley Farm. Young Dollar is well known in the music circles as he has appeared in a lot of music videos. Recently he featured in Baba Harare’s video for the song Ramba Wakadzvanya.

Most people enjoyed his sociable nature and he attracted audiences due to his stature. It was the way he carried himself that brought attention most of the time as he always lit the places he arrived at.
